One Pan Spaghetti
This easy one-pan spaghetti cooks everything together in a single skillet. No boiling pot of water needed. The pasta absorbs the flavorful meat sauce as it cooks, saving time and dishes. It is hearty, comforting, and great for weeknight family dinners.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef (or turkey for lighter option)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups water or low-sodium beef broth
- 8-10 ounces spaghetti, broken in half
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a little heat)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions
- In a large deep skillet or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat. Break it up with a spoon until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the onion softens.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, water or broth, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add the broken spaghetti, pushing it down to submerge in the sauce as much as possible. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes to prevent sticking and help the pasta cook evenly. Add a splash more water if it gets too thick before the pasta is done.
- Once the pasta is tender, stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Serve hot, topped with extra cheese and fresh herbs if you like.
